Halloween is over, the house is back to normal and all the cleaning and removing of decorations really marked the end of an awesome October for us. On to a new month now, and although November seemed like a rather long period of waiting between two of my most favourite times of year at first(Yes, I AM one of those people already looking forward to Christmas, so sue me), there's really a couple of things to look forward to and make this transition a pleasant one. Here's what I'm looking forward to this month, read along?
Or walks in the park, whichever is nearest to you. Whereas October marked the changing of leaf colours, there will hardly be any leaves left on the trees soon, and that - of course - means there'll be an impressive amount of them on the ground. It's pretty amazing to just walk among them and hear them crunch under your feet, isn't it? So I'm planning a trip down to the nearest forest as we soon as possible, and I can't wait to see the prettiest, most colourful tapestry there is. I might just forget my age while I'm at it and do a bit of jumping, as well. Who's with me?
Yes, you read that right. We got rather lucky here in Belgium, this October, with pretty decent temperatures and a whole lot of sunshine to enjoy. But I won't be sorry if all of that ends and our temperatures start to drop, let me tell you that. Chillier temperatures mean cosier times, and those blankets I haven't felt the need for up until now will start to make their appearance alongside a couple of steaming mugs of tea or hot chocolate. Pyjamas get their snuggle-update, the flannels are pulled out of the closet and we finally get to wear those oversized woolly sweaters without being too hot; I love it! I'll take the runny nose and rosy cheeks with it. Gladly even. There's tea and other tricks for that. ;-)
Right in time for those cosier times: Netflix newbies! I'm really looking forward to starting The Crown this weekend, and the Gilmore Girls Special is finally happening this month, as well. I swear, if there's Luke trouble I won't be able to handle it. And if you're looking for something else - or you want to get out of that sofa of yours, even if it's just for a little while - , there's always this next little paragraph:
NEW MOVIE RELEASES
To be fair, I always love going to the cinema. It's one of my favourite places to be here in town, and almost a weekly thing for me. Nevertheless, this time of year is perfect for everyone to go enjoy a movie on the big screen and get cosy with some popcorn on your lap, don't you think? From Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them, to Mel Gibson's Hacksaw Ridge and Disney's Moana; there's loads of new film releases I'm looking forward to that I hope you, too, will enjoy.
START LOOKING FORWARD TO CHRISTMAS
Okay, okay... You might think it's pretty early to get into the Christmas spirit, but I'm just forewarning you. You can be pretty darn sure that Christmas music will start to become socially acceptable sooner than you think (break out the Bublé!), and shops won't waste time to start promoting their Christmas sales so you might as well enjoy it, right? I won't have any trouble with it, but I think you already guessed that. ;-)
As for me personally, I have a couple of concerts planned this month and am especially looking forward to seeing The Cure in two weeks. I've been counting down to it for months, actually. It just fits this season so well and they're still such a brilliant band!
How about you? What are you looking forward to this November?
