What better day to catch up on a few series and binge-watch your favourites, than a Sunday like this one? The wind was howling pretty intensely today and temperatures are dropping once again, but hey: I've been sitting safely inside and plan to cosy it up even more as it's getting darker outside already. Candles burning? Blankets within grasp? Then here are a couple of great options to fill your evening with!
WESTWORLD. If you're not watching this one yet, I suggest you start immediately. Really. It's absolutely brilliant and more than deserves all the credit for us forgetting all about that long Game of Thrones wait. The performances by every single actor in it are amazing, the story very intriguing and the suspense while you wait for everything to unveil itself nearly unbearable. I've been watching it every single week, but for those of you who haven't started: there's 7 episodes already for you to binge, eight if you start tomorrow. ;-)
THE CROWN. I'm definitely planning on finishing this one tonight. It's been on Netflix for weeks now, and not having the time to truly get into it has really bummed me out. The first couple of episodes I've seen are brilliant, though. I've always had a thing for Britain, monarchy and all, so this series is just right up my alley.
DOCTOR WHO. I've gone a year without my favourite tv series, and since there's a Christmas Special coming up this December (finally!), I thought I'd start refreshing my memory. I went a bit further back and started with one of my favourite series (the fifth one), although the fact that Matt Smith is currently killing it in The Crown might have something to do with that, as well. Must-see for sci-fi fans!
SHERLOCK. Let's keep it British and go straight to Sherlock from there. It's a brilliant, modern take on Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic detective stories. But why am I telling you this? We all know it by now, don't we? ;-) There's a new series coming this January, but in the meantime I do enjoy rewatching every single episode there's been up until now. For, uhm... The fifth time? Yes, it's THAT good.
ONCE UPON A TIME. I lost track of this one a while back, and had actually forgotten how much I loved this series when it started. The twist on the stories of all those famous fairytale characters and them being stuck in our world really reeled me in, and I thought it was a pretty original idea. I think they sort of lost me a bit around season 4, but hey: I'm giving it a try again, and am certainly still loving that first season again! Perhaps I'll catch up completely this time.
GILMORE GIRLS. Well, I think I'm not the only one preparing for that special next week, am I?
Which series are you currently (re)watching and are perfect for bingeing?
