There's nothing like a couple of good songs to accompany you on a typical Autumn/Winter day. Whether you're reading this in the morning and you're on your way to work, or you're preparing yourself for a cozy evening of writing, reading or doing absolutely nothing of importance as you throw yourself into your sofa with a couple of blankets and a hot cup of cocoa at this very minute. We've all got our favourites when it comes to this mood, I think, and these are a couple of the playlists I always reach for as an appropriate soundtrack, especially to a cold, dreary evening this one.
I don't know about you, but whenever I want to relax to the fullest, I know I can always count on some classic beauties from the movies. I've always had a thing for them, and I've been building my very own playlist packed with favourites for a couple of years now. I'm talking nine hours of pure geekery here. Recently, however, I've dared to explore some ready-made Spotify playlists in addition. I've found a couple of good ones, as well, and because of those, I've discovered a couple of new scores I hadn't even considered putting into my own playlists. Are you a fan of film scores? Then I'm sure you'll love these links:
ALL-TIME FAVOURITE BEAUTIES
We all have those songs that just give us a ton of feelings and get those goosebumps going, don't we? It's always pretty difficult to find a playlist on Spotify that fits this description perfectly since we're all so different when it comes to music taste. That's why I won't pretend that mine will fit you perfectly, either, but feel free to have a listen.
That's right, people, it has begun. Well, to be honest, I already sneaked in a first Christmassy dose the day after Halloween, just for the fun of it. But now, as December is just around the corner, there's absolutely no reason not to indulge in THE guilty pleasure of guilty pleasures. Go ahead, I know you want to. ;) As for me, personally, I tend to opt for the classics, as there are very few poppy versions that do them justice, aren't there?
OL' BLUE EYES
Last but definitely not least: ye olde Sinatra crush. To be fair: I honestly can't think of a time of year not befitting a bit of Sinatra now and then, but if there's any better moment to let this big shot among crooners sing the soundtrack to your lives, it is now.
Now, all you have to do to listen to these playlists is click on the image or the links below them, which will send you through to Spotify. I truly hope you enjoy these as much as I do! ;-)
Q: What's your favourite music to listen to during these cold, rainy or even snowy days?
