December is pretty obviously a busy month, with all those special occasions to look forward to lining up. That's why a good to do list is definitely in order, and these are the things on top of my own list this month.
MAKE A WISHLIST. My decorations are up, the mood is set, and now it's high time to get a move on with that wishlist. I find it pretty difficult this year, as the things I'd like the most are pretty expensive (I'm dreaming about a decent camera for the blog nowadays). The thing is, I think I'm a pretty easy person to get gifts for. From Lush products to little things for decorating, stationary, geeky trinkets etc. I love it all so the list is pretty much neverending.
WATCH THE CROWN. Fan of Netflix's The Crown as well? Then mark your agendas for this Friday! I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the second series. More British history, gorgeous costumes AND Matt Smith? Bring it on, I say.
BUY PRESENTS. A runner-up after that wishlist when it comes to priorities this month. I have no less than three Secret Santas to take care of, and I thoroughly enjoy the search for that perfect little gift. Throw in the presents for my family AND a birthday present for my cats (December, 15th, hurrah!) and you've got a whole pile of them waiting to be prettily displayed under my tiny Christmas tree.
INDULGE IN SOME CHRISTMAS FILMS. Standard procedure during the countdown to Christmas, don't you think? I've got a whole list of them and can't wait to get to watching all of my favourites.
GET TO THE THEATRE ASAP. Personal crisis here... I'm currently rehearsing like crazy for our play, which we'll perform in two weeks. The thing is, those rehearsals are only going to intensify next week, which also coincidentally is the week The Last Jedi is released. Seeing it later than everyone else is pretty much a heavy blow for me, don't judge. So I'm keeping a close watch on my daily schedules so I can squeeze in a theatre visit as soon as possible.
PLAN NEW YEAR'S EVE. On a much happier note: New Year's Eve is going to take place at my apartment this year, and I'm so thrilled about it! The usual party of my parents, aunt and uncle are going to celebrate at my uncle's, but as that's quite far away (and we were sort of set on going out in our own city) my sister and her boyfriend, my brother, nephews and I are getting together right here. A small but quite awesome group of people, I can tell you that, and I'm sure we'll have a great time as we party into the new year.
IMPROVE MY TIME MANAGEMENT. I'm not sure you've noticed, but it's quite difficult for me to fit in the amount of time I usually work on this blog. The fault is totally mine, as I failed to upgrade my Summer planning when we switched to those darker days. Less sun equals less light to take photos in, etc. And it's not exactly tempting to sit down and work a bit more after your chores when your sofa already looks so cosy and warm. No more of that, however! I've never been a perfect planner (well, that's not exactly true. I love planning, it's just the carrying out bit that's the greater challenge, ha!), but I'm working on keeping a tighter, yet easier schedule to follow the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
Q: What's on your to-do list this month?
Good luck and have fun counting down to those holidays!
