One of my favourite things to do on a day off work is definitely (re)decorating my apartment and making it feel even more like home. After three months in my very own space, it's safe to say that things are really starting to have a personality even more than when I posted that very first sneak peek, so I thought I'd share a couple of my favourite interior spots with you once again. Whether it's switching things around, adding an awesome gift from my dad to the sound system or even introducing the littlest of details to a corner of the room: take a look at the pictures below and tell me what you think!
I am really quite lucky when it comes to my parents, and that's an understatement. They're both really into music, which has definitely rubbed off on all three of us. The result was a childhood full of amazing music, concerts and now - since my Dad had a bit of stuff lying around - in an amazing, old-school sound system. I love it! I switched up a couple of posters and decided to dust off my The Force Awakens poster.
One way to have these geeky little cuties perfectly on display is, of course, a glass closet. I have a couple of them perched inside one of those, but decided to integrate my latest additions in a more 'present' way. Meeko is now my desk buddy, while Flik was a perfect sidekick for the brand new houseplant I bought today. Throw in William Wallace as another pal for greenery, and a random (Although... is putting this little fella close to les vins rouges THAT random? Perhaps not.) spot for Lumière from the new Beauty and The Beast film, and you've got perfect shelfie material.
I finally did it, you guys. I bought my very own Areca Palm plant. I found the perfect spot for it next to that new sound system, as well. I had to keep two little terrorists in mind when I bought it, though, and besides the plant being non-toxic, I still thought it was a good idea to bring Leia and Strummer something to distract them from the pretty plant. That distraction was kitty grass, and boy did it work! Well, for now. You know how it is.
Well, that was it for today. Can you imagine I can't wait to add even more little things to my living space? It's becoming an obsession, really.
Q: what's your favourite spot in my OR BETTER: your own apartment?
