While I really enjoyed yesterday's last day off of work, I couldn't help but feel a certain kind of dread towards today. Back to life, back to reality, you know? That feeling as if you just didn't make the most of it, that you could have done so much more in those free days, and then that realisation that you're not living life to the fullest and probably never will. I'm absolutely sure that all of that sounds really familiar to most people, as it's just such a typical thing to feel in this day and age, isn't it? Are you in the same boat? Then these pick-me-ups are for you as well!
Constantly pursuing something in vain can be quite tiring, can't it? We are constantly told to follow our dreams and work for it, but sometimes letting it go, even for a while, can actually be a good idea. See what happens, look at it from a different angle, re-imagine that dream and perhaps you'll even improve it. All while giving your confidence a much-needed boost.
Emphasis on the 'it's okay not to be good at everything'. I try doing new stuff all the time, from graphic designing to drawing, photography, different writing topics etc., and the frustration when something turns out to be - excuse the language - utter crap is sometimes unbearable. I constantly make mistakes and I suppose that's a good thing. The more you'll make, the more you'll find out what you're actually surprisingly good at on the contrary. So... Perhaps I should have this one lasered onto my eyeballs, ha!
Ah, that need to fix everything at once. To figure out life, in general, is a pretty impossible task if you ask me. We're all just winging it, right? And perhaps winging one thing or a couple of small things at a time is a much better strategy than having to rush everything and running a tight schedule on your life goals all the time. Prioritise. Absolutely nail it. Move on to the next thing.
Because we don't have to fill every day with Instagram-worthy adventures, if you know what I mean. There's little moments hidden in every sort of day, we only need to recognise and treasure them.
This one doesn't need extra explaining, does it? And with that important mantra; I'm off to work again!
Have an awesome day, you.
