Ever since I moved into my very own apartment, it's been a favourite hobby of mine to gradually fill every little corner with some detail or another, particularly something green. I had no idea it would grow into such a passion, but it has, and what's more; it didn't go unnoticed. Before I knew it, I was the lucky receiver of some of Croix Chatelain's newest products. I promised I would showcase them on here, and seeing as it was just so SO easy to integrate these pretty (and handy) items into my interior, I'm very happy to finally do so. Let's take a look at the newest additions to this growing, greenery-filled home, along with a link to make your very own plant hanger!
Let's start with the simplest of things: plant pots. The more I have, the better, because the minute I see a pretty pot I already start seeing the bigger picture. I really love planning, fantasising about AND researching (cats, you see) the next plant I'm going to adopt and when you finally get to give it a spot into your home? Sheer happiness. I repeat: so simple. But so satisfying for a brand new greeny like me. My favourite? The little bright pink one, definitely. C-U-T-E!
A HOME FOR HERBS
I've always wanted my very own herb garden, and this white, Artevasi pot is perfect for a starters kit. Or, you know, rehearse kit. Wish me luck keeping these yummy leaves alive!
Or as I call this frog: the miracle worker. This funny water reservoir has inspired my Areca palm to sprout two new leaves ever since I started using it two weeks ago. Perfect for the occasional 'darn, I forgot to water my plants!' sufferer, that's for sure! And it looks so happy while it's doing its job, don't you think? 🙈
INDOOR GARDEN BUDDIES
Although the next few things are definitely suitable to cheer up your garden, there's absolutely no reason why they couldn't do the same indoors. I, for one, don't have a garden and so I was determined to find a good spot for each of these items. The beautiful metal robin found its perfect perching spot on top of the prettiest books I own, the retro lamp (chargeable and it comes with a candle setting, which is great for writing and/or reading in the evening, let me tell you that) is sat on my desk for now, and then there's the funny, bobbly statuette on the far right. While I was finding him a spot, my cats spotted him and have taken a particular liking to him ever since. And I'll give him this: he's a sturdy little fella, having put up with all that nuzzling.
Now for that plant hanger! Having been inspired while working on this blog post (and receiving a surprise plant from my Mum while all the good spots in the apartment were already taken) I thought it was high time to give this pretty display hype a try. I decided to make one myself, and thanks to this blog post AND the macramé skills I'd already acquired after years spent in the - quite awesome - Chiro, it only took me about an hour to make it! It's super-easy, truly, but make sure you adjust the distance between the knots to your own pot. Give it a go, if you like, and tell me how you did!
Happy crafting and pimping your own home!
