Another week's passed (and a very busy one at that) another Sunday roundup of favourite things! A TV series, a new favourite photo app and totally random things, everything goes. Let's take a look.
EVERYTHING SUCKS! Discovered only just this morning: a new Netflix Original Series that just screams nostalgia for me because of the soundtrack alone. It follows a bunch of high school students in the nineties, and although I've only seen a couple of episodes (in one go, of course), I'm certain enough I'll finish the whole series in no time.
BLACK PANTER OST. I went to see the film last Wednesday and loved it. It's a Marvel film like we've never seen one before, more of a character study really, with a unique soundtrack as well. Kendrick Lamar provided a ton of songs for it, and the instrumental score is a very well thought-through mix of African drums and ye old typical superhero theme songs. It's been on repeat ever since Wednesday!
NOSTALGIC TUNES. In addition to that soundtrack, my playlists these past few days have mainly consisted of old school favourites. From Creed to Weezer, bring on the nostalgia!
A COLOR STORY. I'm a big Instagram fan and always on the lookout for the newest apps to pimp my photos and make them look their best. I grew out of VSCO a while ago and was so thrilled to find out about this app by the team behind the lifestyle blog A Beautiful Mess. It's a free app with a lot of features that'll make any picture look Insta-perfect in no time. Must-try!
NEW RESIDENT COUPLE. I live in an apartment that's right next to a park. As in: you could call it my garden, that's how close it is. Since it's been raining a lot, I have this -uhm- let's call it 'occasional' pond right outside my back door where until recently a flock of gulls gathered (much to the dismay of Strummer, who's been meowing like crazy at them). Those gulls have been replaced by much cuter (and less loud!) company, though. I give you the new resident couple: Donald & Daisy. Who will - I hope - stay long enough to be accompanied by little ducklings one day.
THE BAFTAS. Yet to come tonight: a night of enjoying my favourite among the Award Shows: The British Film Awards. The bubbles in the fridge are ready to go, snacks will be supplied and I can't wait to adore and be secretly jealous of just about everyone crossing that red carpet, and to find out who'll take those pretty statues home with them, of course. Predictions, anyone?
Have a lovely Sunday evening!
