Last week's favourite things, all rounded up in one post!
THE NEW DEADPOOL 2 TRAILER. Nearly on this list: the trailer for the Han Solo film. Although I'm still quite terrified if they'll do Solo, one of my favourite characters ever, justice, I was still pretty excited after seeing the first footage. And then this trailer came along and it had everything. The moustache reference, honestly, I had to press pause from laughing before the trailer even properly began.
HELLO THERE, LANDO. To make it up for not including the Solo trailer and to prove that I'm still excited to go see the film (and especially WHY that is). Dang.
10 YEARS OF MCU. I'll come out and say it right away. I might have teared up a little bit when this crossed my Twitter feed. Okay, I totally did. What I'd give to have been in that room! Admitted, the MCU have not always hit the ball right out of the park, but you can't not admire the years of work all these people have put into bringing all those heroes to life. Is Chris Evans still impossibly single, by the way? Just asking for a friend.
NORTH SEA BLUE. I'm a weakling, I'm telling you... Every time I go into town, I find myself incapable of walking past Hema and always return home with a new shade of nail polish or any other small trinket. The loot this time? North Sea Blue!
MY SISTER'S UPDATE ON WATCHING BLACK MIRROR FOR THE FIRST TIME. It was the funniest thing and she totally made my day with it so she deserves a spot on this weekly round-up of favourite things. Let me just paint a picture: she was pretty outraged after watching the first episode of Black Mirror ever, not at the series but at the people in it. She would never be a part of it, she would just never! A complete disbelief in humanity summarised in a couple of quickly succeeding Facebook messages. 'T was hilarious, she's the best.
BE MORE CAT - A collection of life lessons right on time. I was scrolling through ASOS last week when this little book caught my attention. Being such a cat person, I simply couldn't resist and I just went for it. Whenever I impulse-buy something like that there's a big chance it's actually not that good on the inside, so I'm really glad that that wasn't the case this time! The illustrations are beautiful, the life lessons quite accurate (perfect timing after the week I've had), and it's filled with funny facts that'll have any cat person chuckle a 'that's so true'.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK. Something I should tell myself more often and take to heart.
Q: What were your favourite things (any kind!) this past week?
