Another week has passed, another Sunday roundup on this blog. Here are my favourite things from last week, and a little ways further down the line.
A PAWNEE ANNIVERSARY. Parks and Recreation turned 9 this week! That and finding an Andy Dwyer Funko Pop! at nearly half its original price at last Saturday's FACTS convention only added to an already growing need to rewatch my favourite series OF ALL TIME (for realsies) in its entirety. Soon, I tell ya, soon!
MUM/DAUGHTER QT. An over-full fridge and an abundance of leftover eggs from a party a couple of weeks ago led me to invite my Mum over for breakfast last Wednesday. We sort of have this thing going where we go out for a fancy breakfast about once a month, but I really liked having her over at my place for a change. I absolutely loved having someone to chat to over banana pancakes and scrambled eggs, so we should totally do this more often!
SOLO BREAKTHROUGH. How about that new Solo trailer, fellow geeks? Up until this point, I was a bit sceptical towards the whole spin-off thing and someone other than Ford taking on one of my favourite Star Wars characters, but I finally had the impression it might turn out to be a good one. More Chewie, Lando (still) looks incredible, and we finally caught a glimpse of the typical Han oneliners. I'm definitely up for it now and counting down, and you? Watch the trailer (again ;)) below!
PLANT DOCTORIN'. Mission Become A Green Thumb is going quite all right, I believe, and I actually had so much fun getting my plants spring-ready (spider plant babies are a-coming!) and reviving a couple of lost causes the last couple of weeks. Oh, gosh, does that sound boring? Oh, well... Results are starting to show, just when the pollard willow right outside my door is sporting its first buds!
TREATS! Having earned the first couple of bucks on a writing assignment (yay!) I decided to treat myself to some fun-haves instead of must-haves this week. Although I personally think that a Blondie compilation and - especially - the The Mummy trilogy fall under that last category, to be honest. I could just watch 1 & 2 over and over again, and never get tired of it. They have been on my treats list for a long while and I'm so SO glad I finally added them to the collection. My DVD shelf is getting quite full, by the way, Ikea trip anyone?
Have a good start of the new week!
