Happy Saturday, dearies! Now, you may be lucky and planning an evening full of partying and getting your social on with friends. In which case: have fun! But on the other hand, you may be in the same boat as me and working weekends. OR perhaps you had a bit of an over-enthusiastic start and Friyay has already knocked you out for the rest of the weekend. Well then, not to worry, fellow-chillers, Netflix has got our evening all figured out. Here's what's been - and will be - on the menu for me!
EVIL GENIUS (MINISERIES). This is a short documentary series every True Crime fan will appreciate, I promise you that. I watched it in its entirety about a month ago and couldn't believe how the story unfolded. I imagine even crime writers couldn't devise a plot like this, which makes the fact that it's all true even crazier.
QUEER EYE (S1 & 2). I'd already heard a lot about the Fab 5 and finally gave in to my curiosity only just last week. One episode in and I was hooked. I mean, why the bleep didn't I watch this sooner?! It. Is. Amazing. Perhaps it was for the best, actually, because now I have two seasons to catch up on all at once. Yaaaaass, Queen!
UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT (S4). I love Kimmy Schmidt and finished the new series in just two days, I believe... It seemed just a little bit not as good as the previous seasons to me (anyone else feel like that?), but still. Lots of fun, genius weirdness, and the DJ episode cracked me up from beginning to end.
THE AMERICANS. Another series I had heard so much about, finally made the time for and got me hooked after one episode. Great soundtrack!
NANETTE (STAND-UP SPECIAL). I strongly urge you to watch this, even when you're not a fan of stand-up. Believe me, it's important. It'll hit you right in the feels and is honestly so touching and brilliantly brought. Go. Press play.
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. Oh, my current guiltiest of pleasures. I finally caved. After years and years of just hearing my peers talk about TVD and hard-passing on it myself, my boredness and incapability of choosing something to watch got the better of me. And I'm glad it did. I am so addicted, people, and I'm not even a little bit embarrassed about it. Damon all the way.
THE WORLD CUP. Yes, I enjoy a bit of football, thankyouverymuch. Especially the big tournaments. I love how nearly everyone is talking about it and living it, so it's an even bigger bummer for me that I'll have to miss our Belgian Red Devils' second match this afternoon because I'm at bloody work. I'm calling it now: at around two, our shop will be empty of custumers and we'll be there desperately trying to get a hold of a live-stream. 😂
Q: What are your current favourite things to watch? Any tips?
